Win Rate = the percentage of signals where price closed favorably at least once within the 5 candles following the signal (a bullish win = at least one of the next 5 closes above the signal candle’s close; a bearish win = at least one below). Each signal is credited with its best outcome in that window, so this figure is higher than a fixed-horizon win rate would be and does not represent a result obtainable by holding for any one fixed period. Calculated on up to 30 years (daily), 60 years (weekly), and 90 years (monthly) of historical data. The number in parentheses is the signal count (N). Where fewer than 5 historical signals exist for a combination, no win rate or median is shown — the sample is too small to describe — and the row displays “—” with the signal count beside it.

Median % Move = the median of each signal’s best percent change within the 1–5 candle forward window. Each signal’s best outcome is identified independently, then the median is taken across all signals (median is used because it resists outliers). Note: this differs from the backtester dashboard, which shows the median at each fixed candle offset (and is therefore typically lower).

Asterisk (*) = multi-timeframe continuity: the same-direction exhaustion signal appears on 2+ timeframes within the defined alignment window.

Hypothetical Performance Disclosure: The win rates and median moves shown are derived from backtested, simulated historical performance — not actual trading. Backtested results have inherent limitations: they are calculated with the benefit of hindsight, do not reflect real execution, slippage, or fees, and select the best-performing forward window per signal. Statistics are computed over the current ticker universe; securities that have since been delisted are not included, which biases the results upward. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
